Do I need to sign for my delivery?

All our delivery services are tracked, with an option to designate a safe place for print orders, or divert frame orders if you won’t be home.

You won’t need to sign for orders delivered with Royal Mail Tracked48, however you will need to be home to receive orders delivered with our overnight courier service. But don’t worry, if you miss a delivery they’ll leave a card. If you’re designating a safe place for your delivery to be left, ensure it will be sheltered from the elements as we use cardboard packaging and we don’t want your prints getting soggy!

All our prints and frames are made to order and shipped from our artisanal print workshop partner based in Somerset, UK.

03 – Our Products
What is a giclée print?

Pronounced ‘zhee-clay’, it’s a method of printing using pigment inks designed to reproduce fine art in archival quality. Giclée can use a much wider range of ink colours compared to traditional 4 colour printing, producing smoother gradients and transitions. All of our prints are created on archival quality 200gsm art smooth paper and designed to last for over 100 years without fading.

How are your prints framed?

Our frames are handmade by request using solid wood open grain mouldings, sourced from FSC Certified forests, with a 15mm face and 25mm side depth, available in either natural, black, white or in one of our curated selection of eco-friendly Little Greene paint colours.

Artwork is set immediately behind a float glass glazing, mounted on a conservation grade mount board and a backing board, sealed with framers tape, D rings and framing string attached.

Are your frames safe for childrens’ rooms?

Our frames are hand made to the highest quality and are incredibly sturdy. In line with our sustainability promise, we do not use Perspex glazing, however due to the robust build our frames are considered perfectly safe when hung securely. Framed prints are tape sealed and come with D ring attachments for hanging. Please ensure you use the correct wall fixings for your wall and the weight of the frame.

How do you choose your artists?

Our wonderful and diverse selection of independent artists are based all around the world. They’re individually picked by our team for their creative curiosity, playful approach and unique style.

We’re always on the lookout for new artists to work with, and so please get in touch via email with a link to your portfolio if you’d like to be considered, at hello@minieditions.com

How do your artists get paid?

All of our artists are hand selected by our team, working collaboratively to curate the perfect artwork selection. We hold each and every relationship to the highest regard, with artists receiving 50% of profit from the sales of their artwork.

04 – Sustainability
What materials do you use in your products?

We’ve made a commitment to our planet and society to operate in an honest and sustainable way, taking care over every detail.

Each artwork is printed on request, meaning we’re able to reduce excess stock and waste by individually printing and framing each order so that we’re only using what’s needed. We use sustainably sourced paper and water based pigment inks, framed with FSC approved solid wood mouldings and real glass glazing to avoid unnecessary plastic production. Our bespoke colour frames are individually hand painted using eco-friendly Little Greene paint.

How do you package up orders?

Prints are wrapped in acid free tissue paper and packaged in cardboard tubes or boxes, using paper-based tape, and waste cardboard as padding where possible. We currently use plastic tube end caps, however are in the process of sourcing a suitable plastic free alternative with a sustainable supply chain.

Can I recycle your packaging?

Every element of our packaging is recyclable, but if you want to bring new life to our boxes and tubes head over to the Mini Makers hub to discover fun ways to Reuse ME!
